Kansas City, MO (December 21, 2025) – One person is dead and two others are critically injured following a wrong-way collision early Saturday morning in Kansas City.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 3:30 a.m. on December 20, 2025, near the intersection of Independence Avenue and Jackson Avenue. Investigators say a silver Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Independence Avenue when it collided head-on with a silver Ford Taurus.
The impact left the Ford’s driver critically injured and transported to a local hospital.
