Webster County, MO (June 1, 2025) – A tragic crash late Thursday night claimed the lives of two teenagers when an SUV collided with a semitruck on U.S. 60 near Porter Crossing Road.
News sources show that the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on May 29. A 17-year-old girl was operating an SUV with two teenage passengers when she attempted to cross the westbound lanes of U.S. 60. The SUV was struck by an oncoming semitruck, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times before coming to rest off the right side of the road.
Tragically, a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, who were passengers in the SUV, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a Springfield hospital for treatment. The semitruck driver was reportedly unharmed.
