Hacienda Heights, CA (December 24, 2025) — A pedestrian lost their life Sunday evening following a deadly vehicle strike at a busy intersection in Hacienda Heights.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 5:20 p.m. on December 21 near the intersection of Gale Avenue and Valencia Avenue. When emergency personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived, they found the victim lying in the roadway. Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Monday, officials from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 73-year-old Hongying Weng.
