Bayonne, NJ (December 24, 2025) — A tragic fire at a senior apartment complex in Bayonne claimed the life of an 82-year-old woman and left over a dozen others injured early Tuesday morning.
According to the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety, the blaze broke out around 7:30 a.m. on December 23 at the Post Road Gardens Center, an 11-story senior housing building located on Avenue A. When fire crews reached the third floor, they discovered Irene Clark, 82, unresponsive in her bedroom. She was transported to Hudson Regional Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
