Chicago, IL (December 27, 2025) – Authorities are actively searching for a driver who fled the scene of a hit-and-run crash late Thursday night that left two women injured in the Gresham neighborhood on the city’s South Side.
According to the Illinois State Police, the incident occurred around 11:25 p.m. on December 25 in the 900 block of West 79th Street. A gray sedan reportedly ran a red light before striking a white SUV. The force of the impact pushed the SUV off the road and into a nearby abandoned building.
