Harrison, OH (June 2, 2025) — Early Monday morning, tragedy struck in Harrison when a motorcycle crash claimed the life of a local man. The fatal accident led to a significant closure along New Haven Road as authorities conducted their investigation.
According to reports, Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 9100 block of New Haven Road around 4:45 a.m. A 62-year-old man, John Messer, was riding a 2019 Harley Davidson Trike westbound when a vehicle backing out of a driveway collided with his motorcycle.
Sadly, Messer, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, died from his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed. The roadway remained closed for several hours while authorities worked at the scene and gathered evidence.
