Baldwin County, AL (December 31, 2025) – A devastating head-on collision on Interstate 65 claimed three lives Tuesday evening, December 23, according to local authorities. The fatal crash occurred around 7:45 p.m. near the 39 mile marker in Baldwin County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 84-year-old Simon Hadley of Bay Minette was driving one of the vehicles when it collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Amaya Williams of Albany, Georgia. Also inside Williams’ vehicle was 49-year-old Keithrick Williams of Auburn.
Both Amaya Williams and Keithrick Williams were pronounced dead at the scene. Hadley was transported to a hospital following the crash but later died from his injuries.
The Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate what caused the two vehicles to collide. The stretch of I-65 near the scene was temporarily shut down during emergency response and investigation.
