San Diego, CA (January 4, 2026) – A woman was injured in a pedestrian crash involving a vehicle near the University of California San Diego on the evening of December 31.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 5:40 p.m. along Campus Point Drive, where a female pedestrian was struck while crossing the road outside of an intersection. Emergency responders arrived quickly to assess the victim, who was reportedly alert and responsive but complained of back, rib, and foot pain.
The car was believed to be traveling around 30 miles per hour when it collided with the pedestrian. Fortunately, the woman did not go under the vehicle. She sustained abrasions and possible thoracic injuries and was transported to UCSD Hospital for further evaluation and care.
