Santa Clarita, CA (January 9, 2026) – A 50-year-old man lost his life early Tuesday morning in a multi-vehicle rollover crash that brought traffic to a standstill on the northbound side of the Golden State (5) Freeway in Santa Clarita.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened around 3 a.m. on January 6 near Magic Mountain Parkway. CHP officers arrived to find a box truck, a gold Toyota Camry, and a semi-trailer involved in the collision. The impact caused the box truck to overturn, blocking several lanes of the freeway.
