Pierce County, WA (June 4, 2025) — A devastating crash in Pierce County Tuesday afternoon left one juvenile man dead and several others seriously injured.
According to reports, multiple 911 calls were made about a reckless vehicle shortly before the collision. The vehicle, reportedly moving at high speed, rolled several times before colliding with another car and a power pole at the intersection of Portland Avenue East and 112th Street East.
Tragically, one juvenile passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional juvenile passengers were transported to the hospital — one with serious injuries and the other with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, a 24-year-old man, was also hospitalized, though his condition has not been disclosed. Authorities arrested the juvenile driver involved.
Officials stated that 112th Street East will remain closed in both directions for several hours as the investigation continues.
