According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred on January 12 at approximately 6:17 a.m. in the 5300 block of South Union Avenue, just south of Calle De Oro. A 68-year-old man driving a 2012 Toyota Yaris was traveling southbound when a 25-year-old woman reportedly entered the roadway outside of a crosswalk and was struck.
