Hesperia, CA (January 27, 2026) – A dirt bike rider was hospitalized Saturday evening following a collision with an SUV at a busy intersection in Hesperia.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 5:44 p.m. on January 24 at the intersection of Mesquite Street and Escondido Avenue. An off-duty CHP officer initially reported the collision, which involved a dirt bike and a silver Toyota RAV4 SUV.
Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene and treated the rider before transporting them by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The severity of the injuries has not yet been disclosed. The RAV4 sustained significant damage to the passenger-side door and came to a stop facing westbound on Mesquite Street. The dirt bike was found in the center of the intersection.
