Bensalem Township, PA (June 7, 2025) — A crash sent a vehicle careening into a township building Friday morning, leaving two people injured.
According to reports, Bensalem Police were called to the intersection of Bristol Pike and Station Avenue around 10:04 a.m. on June 6. Authorities said a Kia Soul, driven by 64-year-old Joseph Johnston of Croydon, was waiting at a traffic light when it was struck from behind by a large yellow box truck. The impact propelled the Kia across the opposite lanes of traffic, through a parking lot, and into a building located at 1927 Bristol Pike.
Johnston and a passenger in the Kia Soul were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where they are being treated for injuries and listed in stable condition. The box truck driver, Ely George, 58, of Lakewood, New Jersey, was not injured. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
