Yakima County, WA (September 30, 2024) – A fatal crash on state Route 821 claimed the life of a motorcyclist and sent a 3-year-old child to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol, 30-year-old Seth Conyers of Wenatchee was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a 2012 Buick Enclave. The crash occurred as the Buick’s driver was making a left turn from state Route 821 into Pomona View.
Trooper Sarah Clasen reported that the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed when it struck the SUV. While the driver of the SUV was unharmed, a 3-year-old passenger was transported to Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Authorities closed the highway between Harrison Road and Pomona Road for several hours as they investigated the incident. The Washington State Patrol is continuing to look into the cause of the crash.
