Stanton, DE (July 18, 2026) – A 25-year-old Newark man, Jose Vergara Guadarama, died after a motorcycle crash on Route 7 near the curve to Main Street in Stanton late on July 12. The crash occurred at approximately 11 p.m. and was one of three serious motorcycle wrecks reported in Delaware within a period of less than 24 hours.
According to the Delaware State Police, the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated the Stanton crash. Investigators reported that Guadarama was traveling southbound on Limestone Road when his motorcycle struck a curb on a traffic island near the turn. He was ejected from the motorcycle and slid beneath a vehicle that was stopped northbound at a traffic signal.
