Ward County, TX (July 22, 2026) – Bryan Alejandro Holguin Peinado, 20, was killed and several other people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 in Ward County early Sunday morning. The collision occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. on July 19 near mile marker 51.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 53-year-old man was driving a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia west on Interstate 20 when the semi-truck struck the rear of a 2016 Nissan Rogue that was being towed by another vehicle.
The initial impact reportedly triggered a chain-reaction collision involving nine additional vehicles. Several vehicles caught fire following the crash.
