Greene Township, PA (August 8, 2026) – A 61-year-old Fayetteville man, identified as Karl Hafner Jr., was killed after being struck by a Ford Mustang on Mount Pleasant Road in Franklin County on Saturday, August 1. The crash was reported at approximately 12:12 p.m.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police , Hafner was on the shoulder of Mount Pleasant Road when the Mustang reportedly crossed the double yellow line, entered the opposing lane, and struck him. Hafner was pronounced dead at the scene.
