Bulloch County, GA (August 12, 2026) – A motorcyclist riding a three-wheeled motorcycle was injured Sunday afternoon after a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 16 in Bulloch County. The collision occurred just before 4:30 p.m. on August 9 along Interstate 16 West near State Route 119 at mile marker 137.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, an unknown vehicle struck the left side of the three-wheeled motorcycle while traveling westbound on Interstate 16. The impact caused the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle before the other vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the injured motorcyclist to a local hospital. Authorities said the rider suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash temporarily closed all westbound lanes of Interstate 16, causing significant traffic delays. By approximately 5:40 p.m., the left lane reopened to motorists, and all lanes were fully reopened by about 7:00 p.m.
Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate the hit-and-run crash and is working to identify the driver who left the scene.
