Lake Elsinore, CA (August 29, 2026) – A head on crash in Lake Elsinore late Tuesday night, August 26, claimed the lives of two drivers and left two passengers seriously injured. The collision occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on Grand Avenue near Gregory Place.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling north on Grand Avenue when it veered left, crossed the center of the roadway, and entered the southbound lane. The Camaro then collided head on with a 2025 Toyota Camry driven by 56 year old Wildomar resident Joseph Chester Collins.
Collins was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Camaro, identified as 22 year old Lake Elsinore resident Andry Robles Morales, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Riverside County Fire Department paramedics.
Two passengers riding in the Camaro sustained serious injuries and were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for treatment.
