El Paso, TX (August 29, 2026) – A man who was seriously injured in a multi vehicle crash in El Paso last month has died from his injuries. The collision occurred on Monday, July 14, in the 12200 block of Montwood Drive near Joe Battle Boulevard and ultimately claimed the life of 68 year old Glen Archer.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, investigators determined that Archer was driving a 2019 Ford Ranger northbound on Joe Battle Boulevard when he attempted to turn right onto Montwood Drive at a high rate of speed. Authorities said the pickup failed to negotiate the curve, struck a raised median, and collided with a 2019 Honda Ridgeline traveling eastbound on Montwood Drive.
The force of the collision caused additional vehicles, including a Chevrolet Silverado, a Jeep Wrangler, and another Honda Ridgeline that were stopped at the intersection, to become involved in the crash. Archer was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries on Monday, August 25. Five other people were injured in the collision and transported to area hospitals for medical care.
