Plano, TX (September 6, 2026) – A pedestrian and two drivers were hospitalized following a serious multi-vehicle crash in Plano on Saturday afternoon, September 5. The incident happened at approximately 3:15 p.m. at East Parker Road and Avenue K and ultimately involved seven vehicles.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety , Plano police reported that a silver Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on East Parker Road, west of Avenue K, when it crossed the center median into the westbound lanes. Police said the Explorer struck a pedestrian who was standing on the median, throwing the pedestrian into the side of an eastbound vehicle.
Investigators said the Ford Explorer continued through the westbound lanes, crossed Avenue K, and struck five vehicles that were stopped at the intersection. Seven vehicles, including the Explorer, were damaged. The pedestrian, the Explorer driver, and another driver were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions had not been released as of Saturday evening. Police reported no additional injuries.
