Bryan, TX (September 10, 2026) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck twice by a pickup truck during a hit-and-run incident outside a Bryan sports bar early Monday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. on September 7 in the parking lot of a business located in the 1200 block of West William J. Bryan Parkway.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Bryan police officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run and found an injured man who had allegedly been run over by a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. Investigators said surveillance video from a nearby business captured the events leading up to the incident.
Police reported that the victim was outside the sports bar with three other men when a verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation. Investigators said the group then returned to their pickup truck in an apparent attempt to leave the parking lot. As the truck was pulling away, the victim approached the passenger side of the vehicle and struck the window.
Authorities allege the driver shifted the truck into reverse, causing the side mirror to strike the victim and knock him to the ground. Investigators said the pickup then ran over the man before shifting into drive and running over him a second time. The driver reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Officers located the suspect vehicle approximately 20 minutes later on Old Spanish Trail, roughly six miles from the sports bar. Police arrested a 27-year-old Bryan man in connection with the incident and charged him with Collision Involving Serious Bodily Injury. Jail records indicate he was later released after posting a $15,000 bond.
The victim sustained a serious injury to one of his arms, which reportedly showed visible tire marks, and also complained of pain in one of his legs. Emergency medical personnel treated the injured man following the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
