Jasper County, MO (June 13, 2025) – A 31-year-old woman was injured Friday morning following a crash between a motorcycle and a car at a major intersection near Carl Junction.
According to reports, the accident occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. on June 13 at the junction of Missouri Route 171 and Missouri Route 43. Authorities say a 2006 Ford Focus, driven by a 72-year-old woman from Carl Junction, made an improper left turn and struck a 2018 Harley-Davidson Low Rider motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old woman from Olathe, Kansas, was wearing a helmet and sustained moderate injuries. She was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for further treatment. Both vehicles were eastbound at the time of the crash. The Ford was driven from the scene, while the motorcycle was removed by private conveyance.
Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to the crash and are continuing the investigation.
