According to reports, the collision happened just before 2:30 p.m. on June 12 near the intersection of Monroe Road and Glendora Drive. Emergency crews responded swiftly, and by 2:44 p.m., Monroe Road was closed in both directions just before Ashmore Drive.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police confirmed that one individual died in the crash. Charlotte Water later stated that one of their employees was involved, although details regarding their condition have not been released.
