Farmersville, TX (September 27, 2026) – Farmersville High School student Melody Newhouse died following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 78 outside the school on Friday.
According to the Farmersville Police Department, Newhouse was riding in a vehicle driven by a woman who graduated from Farmersville High School in 2025. Their vehicle collided with another car traveling in the opposite direction. That vehicle was driven by a man who graduated from the school in 2024.
Newhouse, a sophomore, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Farmersville High School announced her death on Saturday.
