Jackson, MO (June 17, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near mile marker 29 caused significant traffic disruption and left one person injured on the afternoon of June 16.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 3:14 p.m. when two vehicles, a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse and a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, came to a stop due to traffic conditions. A 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 traveling behind them failed to stop in time and struck the rear of the Silverado, which was then pushed into the Traverse.
The driver of the Silverado, a 36-year-old man from Columbia, Missouri, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Sni Valley Fire Department personnel. Both the Dodge Ram and Silverado were totaled and towed from the scene, while the Traverse sustained moderate damage but was driven away.
Missouri State Highway Patrol and local emergency crews, including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Oak Grove Police Department, assisted with the response.
