Anna, TX (June 21, 2025) — A deadly collision Friday night in Anna claimed one life and left multiple others injured when a work truck struck an SUV at a rural intersection.
According to reports, Anna police responded at 7:21 p.m. on June 20 to the intersection of County Road 513 and Farm-to-Market Road 2862. A black Cadillac SUV with four occupants was attempting to turn onto FM 2862 when it was struck on the passenger side by a large, white equipment truck heading southbound.
The impact pushed both vehicles into a ditch, damaging nearby utility infrastructure, including power pole guide wires. The SUV then collided a second time with a power pole on the driver’s side.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The front seat passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the conditions of the two other SUV passengers remain unknown. The truck driver was treated and released at the scene.
