According to reports, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash involving a 2024 Hyundai Tucson and a semi-truck. The crash occurred when the Hyundai, while attempting to pass multiple vehicles in the eastbound lane, lost control trying to merge back into the westbound lane. The vehicle collided head-on with the semi-truck, resulting in a fiery wreck.
All occupants of the Hyundai Tucson were trapped and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was transported to Indian River Hospital with minor injuries.
