St. Louis, MO (June 25, 2025) – A chain-reaction collision involving four vehicles caused extensive damage and sent at least one person to the hospital Tuesday night in St. Louis.
According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 24 in the southbound lanes of Interstate 270, just south of Missouri Route 21. Authorities say a 2008 Honda Civic had stalled in lane one when a 2023 Acura TLX, driven by an 18-year-old woman from Barnhart, struck it from behind. The Acura then lost control and skidded across all lanes.
Debris from the initial impact hit a second 2023 Acura TLX, driven by a 47-year-old woman from St. Louis, causing her to swerve across multiple lanes and collide with another 2008 Honda Civic. That vehicle, driven by a 43-year-old man from Independence, went off-road into a ditch.
The 47-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was transported by Mehlville Fire Protection District to Mercy South Hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
