According to reports, Swansea Police responded just after 6 p.m. on June 28 to the area of 580 Grand Army of the Republic Highway. Authorities said a motorcyclist and a pickup truck collided, resulting in severe injuries to the motorcycle rider, a man whose identity has not yet been released. He was transported by emergency crews to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A passenger in the pickup truck also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries described as not life-threatening. The driver of the pickup truck was evaluated at the scene but did not require transport to a hospital.
