According to reports, 20-year-old Evan Rudich of Cottrellville Township was hit around 11:30 p.m. on June 20 near the intersection of Marine City Highway and King Road. Deputies said Rudich was standing in the roadway when he was struck by a 2012 Ford F-150 driven by an 18-year-old St. Clair man. After the crash, the driver initially left the scene but was later located by authorities and is now cooperating with the investigation.
Rudich was rushed to McLaren McComb Hospital in Mount Clemens, where he sadly died from his injuries on Monday. The St. Clair County Crash Investigation Team is continuing to examine the circumstances that led up to the fatal collision. No further details have been released about possible charges.
