Log Truck Collision in Monroe, WA — Four Hurt on US-2 (June 30, 2025)

Monroe, WA (July 3, 2025) — A serious collision involving a logging truck and five other vehicles left four people injured along United States Highway 2 near Monroe on June 30.

According to reports, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the crash happened at Three Lakes Road between Monroe and Snohomish just before 11:30 a.m. The Washington State Patrol reported that an SUV traveling eastbound crossed the center line near 88th Street, forcing a westbound log truck to swerve into the eastbound lanes to avoid a head-on collision. The truck then lost its load, spilling logs all over the road. Four additional cars collided with the log truck, and a pickup truck hit the debris scattered across the roadway.

At least one person suffered injuries serious enough to be airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, while three others were transported to area hospitals for further care. All lanes between 88th Street and State Route 9 were shut down for more than seven hours as troopers investigated and cleared the scene. Both directions reopened just after 6:30 p.m.
