Fillmore, CA (July 5, 2025) — A tragic collision claimed the lives of a woman and a young boy and left four other people injured following a two-vehicle crash in Fillmore the night of July 2.
News sources show that the accident happened around 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 126 and D Street, an area also known as Ventura Street within the Fillmore city limits. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, two vehicles collided head-on in the westbound lanes of the highway just west of D Street.
A 28-year-old woman from Oxnard was pronounced dead at the scene, while five other victims, including a 5-year-old boy from Fillmore, were rushed to area hospitals for treatment. The young boy later died as a result of his injuries. The California Highway Patrol and the California Department of Transportation assisted deputies with traffic management as the investigation unfolded. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
