Pendleton, NY (July 5, 2025) — A Fourth of July celebration turned tragic for one man who suffered severe injuries while handling fireworks late Friday evening in Pendleton.
According to reports, Niagara County Communications Center received an emergency call at approximately 7:11 p.m. on July 4th regarding a male victim with serious injuries. Niagara County Deputies and EMS crews arrived quickly at the scene and found the man with significant trauma to his hand, along with additional injuries to his chest and abdomen.
Deputies assisted EMS personnel in applying a tourniquet to control bleeding from the injured arm before the patient was transported by Twin City Ambulance to Erie County Medical Center. Despite the severity of the injuries, the victim’s condition is reported as severe but not life-threatening.
