Officials say she was struck by a Dodge Journey driven by a 40-year-old Helena woman. The front left bumper of the vehicle hit the pedestrian, causing her to hit her head on the windshield before being thrown away from the car.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the pedestrian did not survive her injuries. Her identity has not yet been released as officials work to notify her family.
