According to reports, the collision occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on July 6 in the 8100 block of West Belmont Avenue in the Dunning neighborhood. Chicago police say a dark-colored vehicle driven by a 37-year-old woman and a dark-colored SUV driven by a 20-year-old man were both traveling west on Belmont Avenue when they collided. After the initial impact, the woman’s vehicle continued westbound and crashed into a parked semi-truck on the side of the road.
