Rockvale, MT (July 8, 2025) — A late-night head-on crash north of Rockvale claimed the life of a Park City man and left a Roberts woman injured Sunday night along Highway 310.
According to reports, the Montana Highway Patrol responded to the deadly collision at approximately 10:30 p.m. on July 6, about two miles north of Rockvale. Officials say a 20-year-old man from Park City was driving north in a GMC Sierra pickup truck when a 29-year-old woman from Roberts, traveling southbound in the northbound lane in a Jeep Cherokee, collided head-on with him.
The impact caused the Jeep Cherokee to roll over, while the GMC Sierra came to a stop along the shoulder of the road. Despite wearing his seat belt, the Park City man died at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending notification of family. The Roberts woman, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time, was transported to a hospital in Billings for treatment. The extent of her injuries has not been made public.
Montana Highway Patrol investigators believe that alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash but have not indicated which driver those factors apply to.
