Puget Sound Fire crews were dispatched to the scene at around 1:40 a.m. on July 7, 2025, after receiving reports of a serious single-car accident.
According to reports, first responders arrived to find a Chevy Camaro convertible heavily damaged after crashing into the Little Pioneer Academy Child Care center in Kent. Images shared by Puget Sound Fire show the car’s wreckage crumpled against the building, with the jaws of life being used to free the victims.
Both occupants of the Camaro sustained life-threatening injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment. The impact caused significant destruction to the front exterior of the daycare, severely compromising the structural integrity of the building. Firefighters worked to stabilize the structure with shoring to prevent further collapse.
No children or staff were inside the daycare at the time of the crash, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation by local authorities.
