Hazel Park, MI (July 10, 2025) — An early morning police chase involving a stolen Kia ended with four juveniles crashing the vehicle into the Hazel Park Brayz hamburger restaurant while fleeing officers. The incident began after Warren police received reports of multiple Kia thefts around 4:35 a.m. on July 10.

According to reports, officers responded to the Warren Manor Apartments near 8 Mile Road and Dequindre Road before learning the suspects were at the Lafayette Mobile Home Community nearby. When officers arrived, they spotted a black Kia Optima and attempted to stop it. The driver sped away down Warner Avenue, then turned onto 9 Mile Road toward Dequindre Road. The suspects allegedly ran a red light and struck a Lincoln before plowing into the front of the Brayz building.

The driver of the Lincoln suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for further care. Inside the stolen Kia, police found a handgun. All four juveniles fled the scene on foot but were quickly apprehended by responding officers. Police also located another stolen Kia in the area.
