Licking, MO (July 13, 2025) — An early morning crash east of Licking left two people injured after their pickup truck veered off the highway and collided with a tree. The accident happened around 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, on Highway 32, approximately two miles east of Licking in Texas County.
According to reports, a 2019 Dodge Ram driven by a 37-year-old woman from Rolla went off the left side of the roadway, traveled through a fence, and struck a tree. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained moderate injuries. Her passenger, a 41-year-old Rolla man who was not wearing a seatbelt, also suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported by Texas County EMS to Texas County Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities, including the Licking Police Department and Licking Fire Department, assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol at the scene. The truck sustained extensive damage and was towed from the site at the request of responding troopers. Officials continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the single-vehicle crash.
