Bonham, TX (July 16, 2025) — An elderly woman lost her life Saturday morning after a two-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler on the outskirts of Bonham.
According to reports, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash, which occurred on July 12 along State Highway 78 near County Road 2510. Authorities say Nancy Malone, 85, was driving northbound on State Highway 78 when she attempted a U-turn. During the maneuver, her car collided with the trailer of an 18-wheeler traveling in the same direction.
Malone was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, identified as 57-year-old Woodrow Dallas of Sherman, was transported to Texoma Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Officials have not released additional details as the investigation into what led up to the collision continues.
