Hastings, NY (July 17, 2025) – A serious rollover crash on Interstate 81 in Hastings left a woman in critical condition Wednesday evening after her vehicle flipped and landed in the southbound lanes.
According to reports, New York State Police responded to the scene around 6:12 p.m. on July 16 after receiving reports of a crash on I-81 southbound. Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman had been driving northbound when she crossed over into the median, rolled her vehicle several times, and came to rest in the center of the southbound roadway.
Emergency personnel arrived promptly and transported the driver to Upstate Hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Authorities have not yet released the woman’s identity, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
