Jefferson County, AL (July 21, 2025) – A tragic single-vehicle accident claimed the lives of two teenagers and left six others injured early Sunday morning in northern Jefferson County.

According to reports, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded at 2:58 a.m. on July 20 to the crash site along Mt. Olive Road near Partridge Loop. Authorities say a pickup truck carrying eight teens veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Treylen Anderson Floyd, 18, and Tristan Drake Cox, 19, both recent graduates of Corner High School, were tragically pronounced dead at the scene at 3:24 a.m. The two were known student-athletes at the school and part of the Class of 2025.

Six other teens—one male and five females, ages 16 to 19—were rushed to UAB Hospital for treatment. Officials report their injuries are non-life-threatening.
