News sources show the collision occurred July 22 near Highland Drive and Richmond Street, where a 2005 Chevrolet Impala rear-ended several stopped vehicles, including a 2025 Toyota Tundra driven by Salt Lake City resident Dallas Bailey. Witnesses say the suspect gathered belongings from the Impala and then fled the scene on a single-wheeled hoverboard.
Bailey’s young son, just four years old, was injured in the crash. The Tundra was totaled, and another truck at the stoplight was also badly damaged.
According to statements from Bailey and other witnesses, the suspect allegedly threatened Bailey and brandished a firearm toward a bystander attempting to intervene. Salt Lake City Police arrived within minutes, but the suspect has not yet been publicly identified or apprehended.
