Los Angeles, CA (July 26, 2025) – A police pursuit in the Willowbrook neighborhood of Los Angeles ended in a violent crash Friday night, leaving at least one Los Angeles Police Department officer hospitalized.
According to reports, the incident unfolded shortly before 9:30 p.m. on July 25 as LAPD officers were pursuing a suspect wanted for reckless driving. The chase lasted only a few moments before an unrelated vehicle collided with a patrol car near the intersection of 124th Street and Mona Boulevard.
Sky5 aerial footage captured the aftermath, showing significant damage to the patrol vehicle’s driver and passenger doors. The force of the impact pushed the cruiser across the intersection into opposing lanes.
At least one LAPD officer was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Another individual, a woman whose identity and role have not been confirmed, was also hospitalized. The suspect being pursued fled the scene and remains at large.
