Meriden, CT (July 29, 2025) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized in intensive care Monday morning following a serious crash involving a passenger vehicle on East Main Street in Meriden.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 10:40 a.m. on July 28 in the 700 block of East Main Street. Responding officers with the Meriden Police Department found an orange Honda motorcycle lying on its side in the roadway, facing eastbound. The rider had been ejected and was discovered nearby, seriously injured.
The second vehicle involved, a white Honda CR-V, was found backed into the parking lot of a nearby McDonald’s restaurant. Police have not yet released specific details on how the crash occurred or whether any citations have been issued.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to Hartford Hospital by emergency medical services. At one point, a LifeStar helicopter was placed on standby as responders assessed the severity of his injuries. He remains in intensive care.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
