All seven victims — five adults and two children — were transported to local hospitals with injuries ranging from major to moderate.

The northbound lanes of Palm Drive were temporarily shut down beginning at Camino Campanero as first responders provided aid and began their investigation. The Desert Hot Springs Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team has taken over the case.
