Tucson, AZ (August 1, 2025) — A deadly pedestrian crash claimed the life of a 59-year-old man late Wednesday night in Tucson.
According to reports, the Tucson Police Department confirmed that Gregory Lynn Harris died at a hospital following the incident, which occurred on July 30 near the intersection of North First Avenue and Navajo Road. Investigators say Harris was attempting to cross First Avenue when a passenger vehicle struck him. He was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The driver involved stopped immediately, cooperated with officers, and was not believed to be impaired. Detectives cited Harris’s presence in the roadway outside of a crosswalk as the primary factor in the collision.
