Jefferson County, AL (August 2, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash involving matching white Dodge Ram pickup trucks led to the death of a 62-year-old man in northern Jefferson County on the afternoon of July 30.

According to reports, the accident occurred at 2:34 p.m. at the intersection of Snowville Brent Road and Highway 78. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Gale Dewayne Johnson, a resident of Arley.

Johnson, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene by 3:01 p.m. The nature of the collision and how the vehicles came into contact has not yet been disclosed by investigators. The second driver’s condition has not been made public, and it remains unclear if they sustained any injuries.
