According to reports, the accident occurred at 2:34 p.m. at the intersection of Snowville Brent Road and Highway 78. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Gale Dewayne Johnson, a resident of Arley.

Johnson, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene by 3:01 p.m. The nature of the collision and how the vehicles came into contact has not yet been disclosed by investigators.
