Seattle, WA (August 2, 2025) – Three people were hospitalized early Friday morning following a crash between a Seattle Police Department cruiser and another vehicle in downtown Seattle.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Seneca Street. Officials said a 24-year-old SPD officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call with lights and sirens activated when the cruiser entered the intersection and struck a civilian vehicle that had the green light.
A 26-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man inside the civilian car sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals in stable condition. The officer also suffered injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center, also in stable condition.
Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed from the scene. Seattle Police have stated that a full review of the officer-involved crash is underway.
